Building Brand Awareness Through Social Media

31 Dec

Brand Awareness Through Social MediaAny entrepreneur or business owner knows the importance of getting their name “out there.” Here at Progressive Media Concepts, we allow companies an effective way to outsource marketing efforts to reach a targeted audience. Unless you’re Nike, Microsoft, Apple, Coca-Cola or any of the other corporate power-houses, brand awareness is not something that is easy to come by. In order to increase sales and revenue, hits on your website, or even just a loyalty to your brand, the consumer needs to know who you are. Social media, the most rapidly expanding marketing and advertising outlet, has become an integral part of business success in today’s world of “Internet junkies.”

Now it’s easy to see how TV and radio advertising has quickly dwindled under the dominating uprising of the online social media movement. Traditional advertising outlets have seen steady declines over the past decade due to the popularity and sheer size of the online community. Radio and television marketing and advertising efforts are broadcasted in hopes their targeted consumer is listening or watching. It is a less efficient way to spend business finances as the success rates of such campaigns rarely pay for themselves. According to statistics, nearly 110 million Americans were active online in 2000. The latest data released shows an increase of over 140%, upwards of 270 million active users online in the U.S. Given the ability to advertise to 77% of the U.S and select a targeted consumer base for a fraction of traditional advertising costs, it would only make good business sense to jump on the band wagon before you’re left in the dark waiting for the next best thing.

There are limits to how well something can be written, but you’re really close to surpassing them.
